About
UnitiveMind
Our Story / Origins
Why I Created UnitiveMind
I founded UnitiveMind for people who have achieved much in their lives yet feel that something essential remains unresolved beneath the surface. Many live with hidden conflict, old conditioning, and inner divisions that limit their clarity and potential. I understand that experience firsthand.
UnitiveMind exists to offer a clear and grounded path toward inner transformation—one based on depth, honesty, and meaningful action.

Our Mission
To guide individuals and leaders toward deeper self-understanding, authentic expression, and conscious living.
Through reflective practice, evidence-based coaching, and the timeless insights of depth psychology, we help people move beyond the surface of change and step into a life shaped by meaning, purpose, and integrity.

About James Fox
My work today is the result of more than forty years of personal transformation, long-term recovery, and inner exploration. I did not come to this work through theory alone—I lived it.
I spent years in Jungian analysis with James Hollis, PhD, whose guidance helped me confront the patterns and fears that shaped my early life. James remains a mentor whose influence continues to deepen my work.
My journey also led me to study with Roshi Joan Halifax at Upaya Zen Center and the late Kathleen Dowling Singh, whose teachings on presence and spiritual maturity profoundly shaped my understanding of inner transformation.
I hold a Professional Certificate in Organizational Performance Coaching from American University and completed four years of advanced study in Jungian psychology at the Jung Society of Washington. My deepest education, however, came through lived experience—especially my decades supporting others in recovery and personal transformation.
Everything I offer through UnitiveMind comes from this integration of lived experience, study, and a lifelong dedication to inner work.

Method / Approach
Our Approach
UnitiveMind brings together three dimensions that shaped my own transformation:
Jungian Depth Work
facing and integrating the forces within
Social Neuroscience
understanding how the nervous system shapes our experience
Contemplative Wisdom
cultivating presence, clarity, and inner steadiness
Together, these form Unitive Psychology—the method behind all our programs and coaching.

Our Commitment
This work is not about fixing you.
It is about helping you reconnect with the deeper intelligence, clarity, and courage that have been within you all along.
We support those who are ready to go beyond surface-level change and do the inner work that truly transforms a life.
Honesty. Depth. A clear path forward.
That is our commitment.
