About Unitive Mind™

Depth psychology for executives addressing unconscious patterns and internal fragmentation

The Origins of
Unitive Mind™

PERSONAL STORY

Unitive Mind™ emerged from a simple recognition: the work that changes us isn’t found in quick fixes or surface strategies. It’s found in the willingness to turn inward—to meet the unconscious patterns, unresolved conflicts, and fragmented parts of ourselves with honesty and courage.

“This work is for those ready to go deeper—not for quick fixes, but for real transformation.”

James Fox, Founder of
Unitive Mind™

Unitive Mind™ represents a departure from conventional approaches. We don’t offer motivation, strategies, or behavioral shortcuts. We offer something deeper: a systematic framework for working with the unconscious forces that shape your decisions, relationships, and sense of self.

This approach wasn’t born from theory. It was forged through 40+ years of lived experience—my own journey through Jungian analysis, recovery, contemplative practice, and the ongoing work of integration. What began as personal necessity became a professional calling: to guide others through the same depth work that transformed my own life.

FOUNDER'S MESSAGE

I help people move from fragmentation to wholeness—from being driven by unconscious patterns to living with clarity, purpose, and inner authority.

My work is grounded in the Psychology of Self-Leadership™, a discipline that integrates Jungian depth psychology, social neuroscience, and contemplative wisdom. This isn’t eclectic mixing—it’s the systematic integration of three complementary approaches to human transformation.

What Shapes This Work

Three dimensions form the foundation of this work:

1

Jungian Depth Psychology

Carl Jung understood what many modern approaches ignore: beneath our conscious awareness lies a vast inner world of unconscious patterns, shadow material, and archetypal forces. These hidden dynamics shape our choices, relationships, and sense of purpose far more than we realize.

Through Jungian analysis, we bring these unconscious forces into awareness. We identify the shadow patterns that sabotage success, the inner conflicts that create paralysis, and the unintegrated parts of ourselves that demand attention through symptoms and suffering.

This isn’t abstract theory—it’s practical work with real psychological structure. When shadow material is integrated, energy that was locked in internal conflict becomes available for creativity, leadership, and authentic living.

2

Social Neuroscience

Insight without nervous system regulation leads nowhere. You can understand your patterns intellectually and still remain trapped by them. This is where neuroscience becomes essential.

Our nervous system holds the patterns we’re trying to change. Reactivity under pressure, emotional flooding, dissociation, and compulsive behaviors—these aren’t character flaws, they’re nervous system states that require direct somatic work.

Through evidence-based neuroscience techniques, we learn to regulate these states, build new neural pathways, and develop the somatic capacity for sustained change. This is how insight becomes embodied—how understanding transforms into lived experience.

3

Contemplative Wisdom

Ancient contemplative traditions understood what modern psychology is rediscovering: presence is the foundation of transformation. Without the capacity to witness our inner experience with clarity and compassion, we remain identified with our patterns rather than free from them.

Contemplative practice isn’t about escaping the world or achieving special states. It’s about developing the inner stability to meet reality as it is—including the uncomfortable, unwanted parts of ourselves—without reactivity or defense.

This capacity for presence allows us to hold the tension of our inner conflicts long enough for genuine integration to occur. It’s the ground from which Integrated Self-Leadership emerges.

Together, these three dimensions create the foundation for the Psychology of Self-Leadership™—a life lived from inner authority rather than unconscious reaction.

How I Work

My approach is direct, grounded, and focused on what’s actually happening beneath the surface. I don’t offer platitudes or generic advice. I work with the specific psychological structure of each person—their unique shadow patterns, defense mechanisms, and inner conflicts.

This work requires honesty. Not brutal confrontation, but clear-eyed recognition of what is. I create space for people to see themselves without judgment—to acknowledge the patterns they’ve been running from, the parts they’ve disowned, and the unconscious forces that drive their lives.

From that foundation of honest recognition, real change becomes possible. Not superficial behavioral adjustment, but fundamental transformation—the kind that changes how you experience yourself, your relationships, and your purpose.

"I meet people where they are, not where I think they should be. The work unfolds from there."

Unitive Mind™
Integration
Framework™

This framework guides the process of:

  • Uncovering unconscious patterns through Jungian analytical techniques.
  • Regulating nervous system states that maintain those patterns.
  • Cultivating the presence required to hold the tension of transformation.
  • Integrating shadow material and fragmented parts into a coherent whole.
  • Developing the Psychology of Self-Leadership™ as a lived reality

These three dimensions aren't separate approaches applied loosely. They're systematically integrated through the Unitive Mind™ Integration Framework™—our proprietary method for working with the deep structure of the psyche

Who This
Work Is For

This work serves those who recognize that lasting change requires depth:

Executives and leaders

who’ve achieved outward success but carry a persistent sense of inner fragmentation. You present one version of yourself publicly while a different reality churns beneath. You want to lead from genuine inner authority, not compensatory performance.

Professionals in transition

who find themselves at a crossroads—career change, midlife questioning, loss, or identity shift. The old answers no longer work. You need depth work to discover what wants to emerge, not surface strategies to maintain what’s dying.

People in recovery

who recognize that sobriety is the beginning, not the destination. You’ve removed the substance, but the patterns beneath the patterns remain. You’re ready to address the root causes—the shadow material and nervous system dysregulation that drove the addiction in the first place.

Coaches and helping professionals

who do their own depth work first. You recognize that you can only take others as deep as you’ve gone yourself. You seek training not just in techniques, but in the actual process of transformation.

If you’re looking for quick wins, motivational encouragement, or strategic advice, this isn’t the right fit. But if you’re ready to do the real work—the kind that changes you at the root—then we should talk.

Next Steps
