Sixteen sessions across six months — roughly three sessions per month, at the rhythm the work requires. Eight structured between-session modules prepare and deepen what happens in the consultation room. The modules are not content to consume; they are psychological work to be done.

The Inner Authority™ is priced as a complete six-month engagement — not a monthly retainer, not a course. The investment reflects direct, private depth psychological consultation with a sole practitioner of rare formation, a structured curriculum, and the sustained attention that genuine depth work requires.
Availability is strictly limited to six concurrent clients. Current intake status is communicated personally on application response.
The application is read personally by James Fox. There are no assistants, no screeners, no automated triage. What you write will be considered with attention, and with an interest in what sits beneath the surface of what you say.
If your application suggests a possible fit, you will be invited to schedule a 50-minute intake conversation. The fee is $500, paid at booking, and is not refunded or credited. The intake conversation is the first session of the work, not a sales call — James will use the time to test whether the engagement makes sense, for both of you.
Not every applicant is invited to the assessment. Not every assessment leads to an engagement. This is by design.

It is not therapy. It does not treat mental health conditions. If you are looking for the treatment of a psychological condition, the right path is a licensed therapist, and nothing here should be taken as a substitute for that.
No. The Threshold™ is not a prerequisite. Clients who have completed it arrive better prepared — the vocabulary and self-knowledge it develops become the working material of the consultation sessions. But many clients enter The Inner Authority™ directly.
Sessions are conducted via video, or in person in London or Washington DC by arrangement. Most clients work entirely remotely. The depth of the work does not depend on physical proximity — it depends on the quality of sustained attention that both client and practitioner bring to it.
Readiness is not a feeling of confidence. It is the honest recognition that something is operating beneath the surface of your leadership that you have not yet been able to name — and that naming it, and working with it directly, is no longer something you can afford to defer.
